Full biography of Jackie Chan

Jackie Chan / Jackie Chan
Jackie Chan (persistent. Jackie Chan, Keith. Cheng Long, aliases; née Chen Gansheng, Keith. th, which means “born in Hong Kong”; sometimes referred to as Chang Kunsan (Cantonese transcription first name) and Fan Silumin (the original family name, returned many years later after the birth); b. April 7, 1954, Hong Kong) in Hong Kong and the American stuntman, actor, film Director, producer, screenwriter, stunt Director and fighting scenes, singer. He starred under the pseudonyms: Jackie Chan, Jackie Chan with a Baseball Bat, Yuan Lung Chan, Yuen-Lung Chan, Lung Chen, Long Cheng, Wellson Chin, Sing Lung.
Chan is one of the most popular characters of kungfu fighters in the world, he is known for his acrobatic fighting style, comedic gift, as well as the use of a variety of “improvised” in battles. He has starred in more than 100 films and is one of the most famous Asian actors in the world. He sings title songs in many of his films and has released albums since the 1980s. Chan is known as one of the “Seven lucky ones” (graduates of the Beijing Opera school, who became popular actors).

Jackie Chan was born in Hong Kong (now the administrative region of the people’s Republic of China). His parents Charles Chan and Li-Li Chan fled to Hong Kong from the continent during the civil war, and in 1960 moved to Australia. Before moving, they worked as a Butler and maid respectively at the residence of the French Ambassador in Hong Kong. The Chinese name of Jang “kung San” means “born in Hong Kong”.
Before becoming known as Jackie, he used many aliases. Since he was a weighty baby (about 5.4 kg at birth; Chan claims to have spent 12 months in the womb), his mother gave him the nickname PAO (“Cannonball”). Then at the Opera school (where he studied with Sammo Hoon and Yuen Biao), Chang was named Yuen Luo after his teacher Yu Jim-yen.
At the beginning of his career (before the film “New fist of fury”, 1976) he was known as Chen Yuen Long. Then only he received from his Australian comrades the name Jackie (1976–1977). On the construction site worked a guy named Jack, and Chan for simplicity called Small Jack (then Jackie). Since his father’s real name was Fung, Jackie’s Chinese name was later changed to Fung Shi Long. It is also called Shin Loong (“young dragon”), so he subsequently named the main character of the film “Fearless hyena”.
The first breakthrough project of Chan was the film “Drunken master”. In the film, Chan played an unusual role for a broken and disorderly little Won FEI Hun. In this sense, the tape was quite innovative. Also very successful was the comic Duo of Chang and the elderly actor Yuen Xiu Tien (also known as Simon Yuen), the father of the famous stage Director Yuen Wu-ping. The picture became very popular and marked the beginning of the success of Jackie Chan.

Chang married Taiwanese actress Lin Feng Jiao (Lam Fung Gyu in dialect). The year 1983 is indicated in the autobiography, but many sources indicate the date 1 December 1982. The website of Jackie Chan also indicates the year 1982. They have a son Chan Cho Ming (Jaycee Chan), born on 3 December 1982, although in his autobiography Chan again set another year â € ” 1984. Chan also has a daughter Etta OU Chok Lam (b. 19 November 1999) from an extramarital affair with actress Elaine OU I-Lei.
He first studied at Nanhua elementary school, but then his parents found it necessary to sleep him off at the Beijing Opera school at the Chinese Institute of Opera studies (1961b€”1971). Chan was part of the troupe of the “Seven lucky” together with the Very Hoon, Yuen Biao and Corey Kwai.
It is frequently argued that Chan himself is doing all of his stunts. Although this is not reliably confirmed, Chan says that he does most of the tricks on his own, and sometimes duplicates other actors; he was repeatedly injured. (During the final credits, his films usually feature failed takes and at least one injury scene.) Therefore, Chan is blacklisted by insurance companies around the world. The most dangerous injury Chan received on the set of “Armor of God” (1986), where after falling from a tree, he split his skull.
On the set of “Project” in 1983, Chan officially created group stunt Jackie Chan, with whom he worked on subsequent films. Chan argues that working with familiar people greatly facilitates the filming process.

Chan says that he created his own image in contrast to the image of Bruce Lee and his many clones (see Bruceploitation). Bruce Lee played focused and courageous fighters, and Chan plays inovatech, often narrow-minded guys that are besides strained relations with family, friends or girls. However, in the end, his heroes always win.
In the 1980s, he appeared in several films about “Happy stars” in the supporting roles, the main role was played by his “older brother” in the school of Samo Hong.
Chan repeatedly tried to break into the American market with the projects “Big fight”, “Race Cannonball, “Patron” in the early 1980s. In the 1990s, Chan twice offered the role of villains, but he both rejected the proposal. First, his friend Sylvester Stallone invited him to play the criminal Simon Phoenix in the film “the Destroyer” (1993), but Chan refused, fearing falling into the lists of stereotypical Hollywood villains. This role was played by Wesley snipes. He also gave up the role of the criminal in “Deadly weapon 4”, it was then played by jet Li.

Although he was popular in narrow circles in the US, the real success came to him after the painting “Disassembly in the Bronx” in 1995. He became the same guaranteed “cashier” as Chow Yun-Fat and Michelle E. Also a success enjoyed the animated series “the adventures of Jackie Chan.”
In 1994, MTV presented him with the award for overall achievements in cinema, and a year later came out “Showdown in the Bronx.”
Chan has stars on the Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong and on the Avenue of Stars in Hollywood. Chan is also a successful pop artist, having released more than 100 tracks on 20 albums since 1984. He sings in Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese and English. He also often sings the theme song for his movies, but with the release of the pictures in Britain and the U.S. these songs are usually replaced.

Chan is widely known for his charitable activities and participates in many different projects. He often acts as a goodwill Ambassador in various actions, such as assistance to the victims of the Indian ocean tsunami in 2004 or floods in mainland China. In June 2006, he announced that he bequeathed half of his fortune to charity. He also said he had great respect for the philanthropic tendencies of bill gates and Warren Buffett.
