Phillip Rhee

Phillip Rhee was born on September 7, 1960 in Seoul. Philip’s father was a famous master of martial arts, so the boy began to study martial arts at the age of 4. At the moment, Ri has a black belt in Takewondo, a belt of the 3rd degree in Hapkido and the 1st in Kendo. Since childhood, Philip wanted to do a movie like his uncle.

After meeting with the famous producer Peter Strauss, Philip began to engage in his first serious project film “the Best of the best” where he played a major role. The film was a huge success. Soon the screen comes the sequel titled “the best of the Best 2: battle in the Coliseum”. The film also made a splash in the U.S. box office. After this film, the Ri has become internationally known.

Recently, Philip REE moved away from the main roles, and began to produce series and films for children and families. Ri believes that cinema can positively influence young people and teach them morality and inner stability.
